Factors forming the public opinion on the work of district police officers (a case study of Saransk)

The paper considers the issue of formation of the attitude towards activities of the district police officers on the basis of the analysis of sociological data exemplified by the case of Saransk. The key factors influencing the public opinion on the work of the police are identified, as well as the level of safety of the population. Measures to increase efficiency of work of the district police officers are presented in accordance with the views of the respondents. The survey data show that the activities of the district police officers should be focused on cooperation with the population.
