Factors which contribute to attitudes of the host community to migrants of different ethnicity in Jewish autonomous region

On base of the applied sociological research the author considers the factors which influence the formation of host community attitudes to migrants of different ethnicity and ethnic stereotypes. It is shown that the main factors influencing the formation of negative stereotypes among the population are the media and difference in cultures, traditions and lifestyles. The revealed negative inter-ethnic relations have mostly an emotional character, without going into xenophobia.
