The Perm krai has a rich history of filming. From 1937 to the present, more than 45 film projects have been filmed on location here, the most famous of them are «Volga-Volga», «Girls», «Geographer Drank His Globe Away», «Real Boys», «Heart of Parma», «Territory», etc. For the design of film tours, tour operators actively use film locations, in conjunction with other recreational resources. The pinnacle of the development of film tourism in the region is the creation of a theme park based on the film universe, such projects are not yet available in Russia. Regions with a high concentration of film locations have a high potential for creating such theme parks. The authors analyze the film locations of the Perm krai and formulate the concept of cinematic region, which is based on a number of geographical, historical, cultural and socio-economic factors. A region with natural and cultural boundaries, visual expressiveness, semantic saturation becomes cinematic and creative and tourist communities. The Perm belongs to such cinematic regions. A high potential for the development of film tourism in the region has the surroundings of the Gubakha, including the protected area «Stone City» and the valley of the Usva river. Based on already existing natural attractions, a theme park can be created here, supplemented with new infrastructural and creative facilities. The first step towards the creation of the park may be the development and promotion of a tourist route through the landscapes of the universe of Alexei Ivanov's novels.
