The factors of unfavorable outcomes after the injuries at the level of distal tibial epiphyseal zone in children

The histories of 82 patients with the injuries at the level of distal tibial epiphyseal zone treated by transosseous osteosynthesis method, have been analyzed. The authors have studied the effects of different groups of factors: physiological, clinical and medical ones on the results of treatment and outcomes. It has been demonstrated that the recovery after the injury at the level of the epiphyseal zone of distal tibia is not inclined to good-quality course, and any error, made in the process of carrying out diagnostic and curative measures, threatens with complications, and all this combined with the aggravating factors of proper injury substantially increases the probability of unfavorable outcome.
