The article is dedicated to the analyses of factors which influenced the development of livestock breading in Russia at the end of the19th-the beginning of the 20th centuries based on the building of regression mathematical models. Among the factors under consideration, there are as follows: population, harvest, hay-harvest, potato productivity, etc. There are singled out regions with the domination of particular factors. This research is carried out within the scope of the interdisciplinary programme of the UrD.RAS 'The historical dynamics of Russia: factors, models, forecasts'.
