Strategic development factors of hotel business in Russia

The article is devoted to the analysis of strategic development factors of hotel business in Russia. The article deals with the peculiarities of the functioning of the hotel complex enterprises in Russian conditions, including institutional, organizational and managerial aspects. The need to form a strategic approach to the management of the hotel business is due to the instability of macroeconomic and geopolitical factors, the presence of crisis phenomena that preserve a long-term negative effect in the economy of the service sector. The hotel industry contributes to the rapid attraction of solvent demand to the regions, so the program approach to its development will contribute to solving significant socio-economic problems. The elements of the hospitality industry are characterized, and the evolution of this concept in the scientific works of domestic and foreign authors is evaluated. The conducted research allows us to conclude that the scientific and theoretical foundations of management of the hospitality industry continue to develop in difficult economic conditions, considering positive domestic and international experience. The author formulates main directions of strategic development of Russian hotel business enterprises.
