Factors influencing the exchange rate of the Russian ruble (USD/RUB)

In recent years, a lot of events have been taking place in the world, and in particular in the Russian Federation, which destabilize the economy and, as a result, the national currency, therefore, this paper considers some factors that affect the Russian ruble, namely world oil prices, the trade balance, the geopolitical situation, etc. Then the reasons for the volatility of the Russian ruble for 2020-2022 are considered in more detail.
