Phase rormation in the system Rb2MoO4-Nd2(MoO4)3-Zr(MoO4)2 and synthesis of new triple molybdates rubidium-neodim-zirkonium

The Rb2MoO4-Nd2(MoO4)3-Zr(MoO4)2 system was investigated in subsolidus areas by X-ray diffraction method, DTA, IR-Spectrometry. The formation of three phases in the Rb2MoO4-Nd2(MoO4)3-Zr(MoO4)2 system is established. They are 5:1:2 (S1), 1:1:1 (S2), 2:1:4 (S3). The single crystals of triple molybdate Rb4.7Nd0.7Zr1.3(MoO4)6 were grown by flux method with spontaneous seeding. The crystal structure was determined. The three-dimensional mixed skeleton of structure consists of Мо-tetrahedrons and two grades of octahedrons: (Nd,Zr)O6. During the decision of structure distribution of cations Nd3+ and Zr4+ on two crystallographic positions was specified. In large cavities of skeleton atoms of rubidium of two grades are located.
