Federal archival projects aimed at countering the falsification of history and political mythology

The study deals with the problem of educating spirituality and respect for traditional values among young people studying the humanities. The author conducts an analysis of the provisions of the Foundations of State Policy on the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values. This actual normative document grounded principles of preservation of historical memory and traditional values, countered attempts to revise and falsify history. They served as the basis of state policy aimed at organizing access to monuments of history in order to ensure an environment conducive to the formation of historical identity and the education of respect and love for the homeland. The complex of archival documents “Crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices against the civilian population of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, posted by the Federal Archive Agency of Russia on the Internet, is characterized. It is concluded that open archival sources and publications of documents confirming the factual information are aimed at countering the falsification of history and political mythology and are indisputable arguments in favor of objective historical reality. The provided opportunity to refer to source documents eliminates modern attempts to revise history.
