Professionality is a federal project that radically changes the approach to personnel training in Russia. The project is aimed at synchronizing the staffing needs of Russian employers with the capabilities of the secondary vocational education system. That is, educational programs will be directly related to the real needs of the labor market, allowing graduates to gain relevant knowledge and practical skills demanded by specific employer organizations. The federal project “Professionality” creates conditions for the training of highly qualified specialists in priority sectors for the country, capable of developing and implementing new technologies, solving import substitution problems and creating new competitive products. The implementation of this project involves close cooperation between educational organizations, employers and federal and regional authorities. In the course of the study, an assessment of financial security, indicators and achieved results of the Federal project “Professionality” was carried out. Based on the analysis of the indicators of the Federal Project, recommendations were developed aimed at increasing interest in continuing education at a higher educational institution within the framework of continuing professional education.
