The feminist movement in Egypt in the second half of the XX - early XXI centuries: problems and prospects

The relevance of the topic shows Islam strengthening throughout the world, the growth of feminism and "female factor" increasing in world politics. In the context of globalization Islam is undergoing serious modernization, including overcoming gender asymmetry. The article deals with the complex and contradictory process of feminism in the Islamic cultural space. It analyzes feminism as ideological and political phenomenon of the movement for women's equality.
