Feminization of the heroes archetype in modern culture

The development of feminism contributed to the strengthening of women's economic and political rights and freedoms. Later, these changes led to the emergence of a new type of woman - a woman free and independent, capable of being not only an «auxiliary hero of the narrative», but also an active hero-figure. In this article, we consider the feminization of the hero's archetype, as a natural tendency of the development of society. Particular attention is paid to the work of Joseph Campbell «The Hero with a Thousand Faces», as well as the monomyth theory presented in it.
