The article is devoted to the analysis of the "children's" problems and images of the children in British social drama of 1960-80th. E. Bond's drama "Saved" was the first and key work, which marked and secured a close relationship between the image of the "child-sacrifice" and the traditions of the theatre of cruelty. Playwrights of 1970-80* develop the tradition of the E. Bond's theater of cruelty. In addition, authors investigate the sources and consequences of violence, aimed at children, in the plays that were written under the influence of human rights programs for the protection of children from violence.
