The phenomenon of childhood piano cycle by R. Schumann and P. Tchaikovsky

The article is devoted to images of childhood in music by R.Schumann and P.Tchaikovsky. The article deals with the piano cycle «Scenes from Childhood» and «Album for the Young» by R.Schumann, «Children's Album» by P.Tchaikovsky from the standpoint of the implementation of the suite principle of composition. Different attitudes of the composers to the phenomenon of childhood reflect the uniqueness of the romantic composers' attitude.
