The paper discusses an important question of system image of education. The author analyzes in detail the education phenomenon and shows its mechanism. The education is considered as a system (institutions, people, content, etc.) that can reproduce the society in new generations and encourage its development. The cultural function of education is integrating: by transmitting the culture the education forms the new generation. The author considers the functioning of education in accordance with certain goals and values for the benefit of the strategic development of the society in the implementation of the socio-cultural production and reproduction.
