The phenomenon of «political leadership» as an object of scientific research

The phenomenon of “political leadership” received scientific understanding in the works of ancient philosophers. The article attempts a comprehensive analysis of theoretical approaches to the political leader and his role in the life of the state and society. Based on the studied theoretical material, the author comes to the conclusion about the essential features of political leadership. Particular attention is paid to the specifics of analyzing the essence of political leadership in the public administration.
