The phenomenon of political culture of national republics as a synthesis of traditional and modern

The article pays attention to the consideration of modern features of the political culture of national republics on the example of the Republic of Tyva, formed as a result of a long historical development. Unlike other national republics, the Republic of Tyva, which became part of the Soviet state one of the last at the end of the Great Patriotic War, retained its traditional identity and cultural values language, religion, traditions, social organization, etc. The impact of such historical processes of the Soviet system as the «cultural revolution», collectivization, dispossession, repression, resettlement not only did not undermine the faith of the Tuvan society in the sacredness of power, but also contributed to the further cementing of the subjectpatriarchal type of political culture. The modern Republic of Tyva demonstrates the dominance of clan relations in the formation of the regional vertical of power and the high level of support for the course implemented in the country by the head of state and the «party of power».
