The study examines how U.S. Presidents have consistently attracted the attention of historians endeavoring to investigate their legacy and impact on the nation. Throughout the entire history of the United States, the position of head of state has been occupied by representatives of merely four surnames – Adams, Harrison, Roosevelt, and Bush. This phenomenon, termed dynasticism, has become customary in American society, where numerous examples thereof can be encountered. Economic dynasties, such as the Rockefellers, Fords, and Duponts, have exerted significant influence on the country’s development over many years by establishing and controlling major business empires. Political dynasties, for instance, the Kennedys, Clintons, and Lees, have also left a notable imprint on American public life, transmitting power and influence from generation to generation. Particular attention is paid to how social consciousness perceives dynasticism as a natural continuation of family traditions and the aspiration to preserve and advance one’s endeavors. Representatives of presidential surnames inherently belong to a specific circle of individuals – the American societal elite. It is emphasized that they are united by a set of common characteristics, such as education, access to resources, and networks of influence, which assist them in promoting their interests and sustaining authority.
