The phenomenon of «happiness» and its linguo-culturological representation in Russian and Chinese idioms

The article focuses on the definition of the figurative and value component of the concept of «happiness» in Russian and Chinese linguistic culture. The notion of the concept is revealed from the position of displaying in it the connection of language, thinking and culture. The article analyzes the ways of verbalizing the concept of «happiness» in the idiomatic units of the Russian and Chinese languages, updates its linguo-cognitive and pragmatic characteristics and internal structure. As a result of the study, it has been found that these two languages follow the same metonymic principle when speaking about happiness, describing mainly the physiological effects of emotions arising from experiencing a state of happiness.
