The rapeseed crops are affected with more than 80 species of pests. Currently, the most dangerous rapeseed pest is cabbage moth (Plutella maculipennis Curt.). Pheromonitoring of cabbage moth (Plutella maculipennis) in rapeseed fields is conducted to determine the beginning of a mass flight of a pest imagoes that coincides with the number of male butterflies (10-15 specimen per a trap), which can also coincide with the stages of rapeseed development: the end of 3-5 leaves development and the beginning of stem extension. We used a dispenser on a pink rubber tube that performed best in previous years. The start of rapeseed crops treatment with insecticides is carried out in 4-5 days after the start of the mass flight of phytophage imagoes. This technology allows determining the beginning and end of the mass flight of the cabbage moth of the 1st and 2nd generations in the conditions of the central climatic zone of the Krasnodar region and serves as the basis for operational measures to control the number of the cabbage moth...
