Modality' functioning in language and speech stays an ever actual issue. We presuppose that philological hermeneutics can supply a researcher with a paradigm efficient for ascertaining the motivating gist and status properties of modality. The above mentioned methodology focuses on the process of embodying and processing sense in a text. Thus we can study not only singular predications but the modal structure of the whole text (a fiction text as the target in the present work).
