The publication presents the materials of a correspondence round table dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Apollon Alexandrovich Grigoriev (1822-1864), an outstanding Russian thinker, literary critic, poet, playwright, founder of the Native Soil philosophy. The round table continues the tradition of scientific discussions dedicated to memorable dates in the history of Russian thought on the pages of the Russian-Byzantine Herald . The discussion introduced with a foreword by the Editor-in-Chief I. B. Gavrilov, followed by leading domestic experts, historians of Russian thought, researchers of the philosophical ideas of the Pochvennichestvo (Native Soil Trend) - V. Yu. Darensky, I. E. Dronov, N. P. Ilyin, V. A. Kotelnikov, M. V. Medovarov, V. A. Fateyev. The issues discussed include a possible continuity between Pochvennichestvo and Slavophilism, the links of Pochvennichestvo with Western European philosophy of the first half of the 19th century, as well as the place of this trend in the history of Russian philosophical thought. The round table is aimed at a multilateral analysis of the extensive and little-studied heritage of one of the most original Russian thinkers of the 19th century.
