The article is a review of the materials from the first issue of the scientific journal of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy “Russian-Byzantine Herald” for 2024, thematically arranged in two sections. The first section contains the publication of the theses and the texts of the reports of the International Scientific Conference “Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821) and Russian thought: on the 270th anniversary of the Savoyard religious thinker”, held on November 7, 2023. The second section includes the articles on the topic “Oswald Spengler and Russian philosophy”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the publication of the second volume of the main work of an outstanding German philosopher and culturologist O. Spengler (1880-1936) “The Decline of Europe” (1922). It is shown that the “Russian-Byzantine Herald” continues to develop confidently and reaches a new scientific and theoretical level, addressing not only national religious and philosophical thought, but also outstanding personalities of foreign, in particular, Western conservative philosophy. It is emphasized that in the conditions of the “cancellation” of Russian culture in the West and of the formation of ideological foundations of modern Russian state and society, the European thinkers in question act as our important witnesses and ideological allies.
