Philosophy of education: subject, stages and priorities of development

The article deals with the formation and registration of a relatively independent field of knowledge of the philosophy of education. Compares different attitudes of foreign and domestic authors on the subject, the stages of development, methodological bases and current research problems. Reveals the role of education in understanding the present crisis in education philosophy, the search for ways out of it, justification of models and education systems that are adequate to the realities of the XXI century.
