The article examines the Buddhist foundations of Pelevin's philosophy, used by him in his novel "Chapaev and Emptiness". In this novel, we are interested in Pelevin's aspiration through Eastern philosophy to show the duality of the world of the human soul and the ways of reconciling the world and the relationship of these two worlds.
