This article is devoted to understanding dialectical realism as a philosophy of sustain-able development. Taking a stand of dialectical realismmeansto turn again to greatphilosophical tradition, to make a breakthrough to spiritual (transcendental) reality. We believe that without this spiritual breakthrough it is impossible to overcome thecurrent tyranny of deontologized subjectivism (antirealism),to restore nature’s sacredontological status. Dialectical realism is one of the few philosophicalunderpinningswithin which the noospheric perspective of society sustainable development findsground. In modern science sustainable development of the world appears as a dialecti-cal process, as a harmonious combination of interaction and self-organization, preser-vation and modification, potentiality and actuality, acceleration and deceleration, leapand continuity, order and chaos, etc. In terms of dialectical realism sustainable devel-opment of society is ahumanspiritual evolution, rooted in the transcendental founda-tions of being, ascending to a Cosmology of the Spirit.
