The presented article examines the philosophical problems of sports activity. The emphasis is placed on the fact that sport is not only physical activity, but also a complex phenomenon that encompasses many aspects of human life. Sport has a close connection with ethics, which considers issues of competition and fairness in the context of sport. Through the prism of axiology, we can better understand the value orientations that are formed through sports, how they affect our perception of the world and ourselves. Aesthetics helps to analyze the harmony and grace of athletes’ movements. The visual perception and entertainment of sports events play an important role in this context. Praxeology helps to understand the goals, motivation, and ideals that may be behind playing sports. Sport is also a social institution and is seen as an important element of the social structure that reflects and shapes social norms. Social philosophy can analyze the role of sports in strengthening social ties and belonging to a group. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that contradictory phenomena in modern sports are largely related to the ideological crisis of modern civilization.
