The article is devoted to analysis of approaches in Psychiatry in studying the phenomenon of "changing the perception of the surrounding reality. The article deals with the problem of persistent inability of academic science to explain the most important "pressing" issues. Article leads to the thought of having to think about the historical Retrospect of the development of mankind.
