The research is aimed at identifying the philosophical significance of symbolic and figurative solutions in the art of painting in Kazakhstan. The main methods used are methods of analysis/description of a work of art. A special role was assigned to the practical definition of the inner design hidden by the artist in various symbolic images. Using the example of the works "Symbol of Fertility" by B. Bapishev, "Ancestral tamgas of three Zhuzes" by A. Igembaev, "Guest" by B. Tulkiev, the analysis of symbols and signs secretly depicted on canvases and being the core of all the master's work was carried out. The disclosure of the semantics of images provides integrity in understanding the content and hidden philosophical meanings in the above-mentioned works. In general, the systematic study expands the idea of the wise depth of extraordinary ideas, the specifics of artistic universalism in the artist's work. The artist-painter's vision of the world is based on their own experience of learning the traditional foundations of the people. This is visibly embodied in the inclusiveness of artists' views, in the uniqueness of their pictorial and graphic handwriting, in various themes and stylistics of artistic forms. Also, the artistic traditions of different periods of the country's development intersect in the work of artists. Their works carry a special ideological content, possibly expressed through certain signs and symbols. Therefore, the disclosure of the concepts of symbols and images should have means of expression organized in the necessary way. The variety of images is focused by a certain method. It includes grouping of images by subject (people, nature, landscape, thing) or by the mechanism of perception (visual images, olfactory, auditory). Symbolism, as a sign in the art of painting, embodies through itself the deep and comprehensive value of the subject. And the content and form in their integrity embody an artistic image.
