Financing alternative energy: on the way to sustainable development

The modern model of sustainable development is based on the transition to a resource-efficient economy. An important role in this is played by the transformation of the energy sector system with the replacement of fossil fuels with alternative energy sources. This paper presents an analysis of global investment flows directed to the development of renewable energy sources. In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the development of alternative energy, investment in the technological development of this industry has grown, and financing mechanisms have been developed. Since the strategic directions of energy development in the Russian Federation include the development of renewable energy sources, this experience can also be taken into account.
