On the financing of innovative activity in Russia and the Tula region in particular

The article is devoted to topical issues of financing of innovative activity as a key factor in the development of the economic system of the modern Russian Federation. The purpose of the study is to analyze the dynamics of changes in the amount of budget allocations for basic research and the promotion of scientific and technological progress, and to identify the problems of the existing system of stimulating innovation potential. The authors pay special attention to alternative sources of financing, including private sector investment and consolidated allocations of national projects.
