Financing research in institutions of higher education: ways to increase the income of universities

Various aspects of the implementation of state tasks by institutions of higher education are considered. The paper presents proposals for the introduction of advanced economic and organizational methods to increase the income of universities based on the experience of higher education institutions in the United States and Great Britain in conducting research on the treatment of rare and genetic diseases. The materials of the article are aimed at civil servants, heads of higher educational institutions, the control and audit department of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
