Financial competence in Russian literature

In this article, the authors investigate the feasibility of synergistic interaction of the concepts of "financial literacy", "money" and "morality" as prerequisites that determine the direction of development of the life scenario of the heroes of Russian literature. The question is raised about why the authors interweave the presence of money in their characters with their negative character traits. From the point of view of literary criticism, it is substantiated that financial literacy is a centuries-old socio-cultural basis on which the entire Russian financial culture is based.
