Financial model as the decision-support value-based management tool

Based on the results obtained, the author carried out an original systematization of the traditional and modern financial modelling requirements list, and identified the appropriate target results. For the first time in the literature, the author gives arguments that a financial model should be considered as the realization of the VBM framework in practice, its derivative. The conclusion has been drawn regarding the financial model fundamental importance for strategic management, also as a tool that aggregates accumulated knowledge regarding the internal and external context of the company, open to further improvement in order to achieve accurate forecasts. On this basis, the author shows that financial model also assumes all the restrictions inherent in VBM, and therefore proposes ways and algorithms for minimizing these restrictions. The conclusions obtained can be used in business management practice, analytical activities, and in scientific research devoted to the development of the VBM fremework and data analysis tools.
