Financial and legal aspects of the functioning of the compensation fund of a self-regulatory organization

The paper discusses the features of the legal regulation of the functioning of compensation funds of self-regulatory organizations as a way to ensure the property liability of members of these organizations to consumers of goods (works, services) produced by them. It is substantiated that public relations in the field of formation, distribution, and use of compensation funds by self-regulatory organizations are related to the subject of financial and legal regulation. The position on the public nature of the compensation fund of self-regulatory organizations due to the delegation of public powers by the state to them is reasoned. The definition of the compensation fund of self-regulatory organizations is formulated, and its features as an object of financial and legal regulation are highlighted, including the public-legal nature of the monetary fund, the established requirements for the minimum size of membership fees, and the maximum size of the compensation fund itself. The judicial practice of making compensation payments from the compensation funds of self-regulatory organizations is considered.
