Physical and chemical basis of corrosion of zinc coatings

The characteristic of the process of deposition of zinc coating by electrodeposition of zinc ions on the steel part is given. The causes of corrosion of zinc and zinc coatings, as well as methods to prevent corrosion. Describes the process of galvanizing. The technological calculation is made of the number of simultaneously processed parts on the example of the “Plate” part. For the calculation were used formulas for finding the area and current strength. The safety of the electroplating process, the issues of labor protection and the environment has been studied.
