Physico-mechanical properties of the peaty soils of the Kama valley of Perm city and their changes as a result of loading action

Бесплатный доступ

Unfitness of the Kama valley area of the Perm city for building is caused not by only with peaty soils, but also its susceptibility to flooding. Such territories can be used in construction engineering properties only after carrying out special actions for their consolidation and a rising of marks of a surface. The most common and suitable way of engineering protection in this case is based on using of sand-gravel mixtures. Professional approach to explanation of the powder thickness allows to reach a maximum consolidation of peaty soils in optimal time-frame. Such approach should be based on the complex account of physical and mechanical properties of peat including their changing in time.
