We prestnt the results of physiological studies of nine professional groups of migrants who arrived from the southern Republics of Central Asia to the Moscow region of the Russian Federation. We revealed the peculiarities of regulation of heart rate variability (changes in the stress index Sl, AMO values, VLF spectrum power, PARS index) in migrants depending on the neuro-emotional nature of work activity and the magnitude of muscle loads. The optimization of adaptation processes should go along with the extablishment of a rational mode of work and rest, as well as a healthy lifestyle, and the improvement of medical services.
