Physiological research in Buryat State Pedagogical Institute - Buryat State University (BSPI-BSU): to the 35th anniversary of the founding of the department of anatomy and physiology of humans and animals

The article describes the contribution of scientists-physiologists of the oldest Department of the Buryat State University - Zoology and Ecology - to the development of different areas of physiological (environmental) research in the Baikal region. As history shows, the main scientifc direction of the former Department of Anatomy and Physiology of Humans and Animals (now part of the Department of Zoology and Ecology) was the physiology of digestion of birds and mammals, which was fruitfully led by Professor Ts. Zh. Batoyev for many years. Most of the research was focused on identifying the features of the functioning of the pancreas of birds and mammals, depending on the nature of their diet. Currently, the priority direction of physiological research in the framework of a single topic of research Department was the study of Human Ecology as a biological object and at the same time the object of infuence of external factors with the development of further health-saving technologies
