Currently, there is a steady decline in the health of young people, one of the key reasons for which is insufficient physical activity. Students of the special medical group are particularly vulnerable, who, due to their limitations, often lead a sedentary lifestyle. They require a special approach aimed at the formation of stable motor activity. This article will consider the concept and forms of extracurricular physical education and recreation activities (hereinafter referred to as PFOD), an analysis of existing practices using the example of the Petrozavodsk State University (hereinafter referred to as PetrSU).
