Training complex “GTO” as part of the system aimed to implement health development functions of education

The rationale for the importance of implementing the health development function of education is given. The potential benefits of the GTO complex are described using the literature analysis, testing, medical records analysis, observations, anthropometric measurements, metric and computer calculations of somatic health following P.I. Kostenko technique (2002). The pedagogical experiment confirmed that the effectiveness of implementing the health development function of education is provided by a tailored course of physical training for the 15-16 year students implemented in a school course of “Physical Education”. The course improves the physical development of those involved up to 29.57 % and significantly reduces the sickness rate of schoolchildren.
