Folk-metal as representation of heritage and creative practice in musical industry

The article describes the origins of folk metal. The stages of formation and highlighted the specific features of folk music styles. Particular attention is drawn to the uniqueness and originality of folk metal, since the use of folk instruments, epic texts, as well as the execution of compositions in ancient languages. On the basis of the study, the author emphasizes that folk metal, at present, is a unique phenomenon, which combines elements of folk and modern practices.
