The article is concerned with the folklore symbolism in the artistic space of V.G. Rasputins narrative Live and Remember in the context of mythological concept of death as the beyond. The use of substantial folkloristic material (mainly modern Siberian) enables to show the symbolic level of Rasputins prose, ascending to folk consciousness universals.
