Folklore motifs of the epic "Geser" in the diary entries of M. N. Khangalov

This article discusses the legend of the appearance of the first shamans, described in the works of M. N. Khangalov and the epic «Geser», and draws a connection between them. Various aspects of the epic «Geser» are compared with the legends about the appearance of the first shamans and their relationship with the middle world or the world of people. The article uses the Works of modern scientists devoted to shamanism, the epic «Geser», as well as the works of M. N. Khangalov, an ethnographer and educator.
