Folk traditions in the Khakas wedding ceremony context: etno-cultural and psychological aspects

The article is devoted to the study of unusual forms of marriage that Khakasses have: “singer''s competition ” and “guessing riddles and witty thoughts. ” The place and role of this custom are considered and based on archival sources that are introduced for the first time in the scientific revolution. Music, and poetry and short forms of folklore reflect the belief in the magical power of words spoken as to natural phenomena, as well as to the representatives of social groups -clans. In the archaic period, probably, they were part of pagan rituals, which had sacred character, that eventually lost its original meaning. Vivid expression of feelings and emotions in the song contributed to the successful work of the person entering into the opponent''s team, the establishment of friendly relations between the clans.
