The article examines non-adjectival usages of the form KHOROSH, both isolated (Khorosh, ne nado bol'she ob etom govorit') and as part of the construction KHOROSH + Inf! (Khorosh boltat'!), which implement the directive speech act (SA) (request, plea or urgent demand) in everyday oral discourse and in this capacity not yet been noticed by academic lexicography. Using the example of contexts from two speech corpora (the oral subcorpus of the Russian National Corpus and the Russian corpus of everyday communication “One Speech Day” - ORD), all the features of such usages are shown: their general expressiveness, up to rudeness and obscenity; the use of additional means for expressing the directive SA (amplifying particles (da, nu, a nu-ka davay), verbal imperatives (prekrati, perestan', uspokoysya, ne krichi), the neutral synonym khvatit, the word vsyo in the same directive role, etc.); the predominance of isolated uses compared to constructions; and the usages of this form in quasi-spontaneous (scripted) speech in films compared to real spontaneous speech of native speakers. The corpus data are supplemented by the results of the conducted linguistic survey. The obtained observations and conclusions may be useful not only in theoretical terms (colloquialisms as a theory of colloquial speech and grammar of speech), but also in many applied aspects of linguistics (applied linguistics, translation practice, natural language processing, development/improvement of artificial intelligence systems, etc.).
