The article attempts to model a customer-oriented approach in the activities of an organization using the example of railway station complexes of Russian Railways. The emphasis is made on the fact that there are factors of the first and second (derived) order that ensure the introduction of a customer-oriented approach in the activities of any organization. The resulting additive model is suitable for use in various industries and spheres of activity, since it contains a universal set of elements: sources of material costs, sources of information about the market, sources of information for making management decisions, including instructions from higher structures.
