The development of the readers’ literacy as the component of the functional literacy at the lessons of biology

The article deals with the issues of the development of the readers’ literacy at the lessons of Biology in the context of the development of the functional literacy. There are considered the innovative methods and techniques of teaching the semantic reading, there are suggested the tasks, supporting the development of such reading skills of the students and to find out, to understand, to interpret and to evaluate the information aimed at the usage in the social life.
