The formation of Dagestan children's literature: the problem of literary translation

The paper analyzes the problems of Dagestan children's literature in the context of the adequacy of literary translation, the main stages and trends in children's prose and poetry of the peoples of Dagestan. The author points to such aspects of the problem as: the lack of a unified approach to the theory of translation, clear distinction between adaptation and translation, the necessity of taking into consideration multilingualism and other features of the mentality.
