The presented article examines one of the directions of the formation of the civic identity of secondary school students. Using the example of the organization of the program of the school-based intellectual camp "Territory of Summer", the possibilities of including local history issues in the educational process during extracurricular time are shown. Special attention is paid to the content component of the camp program.
